Job description

This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.

Pay Range: $60/hr – $65/hr

Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Producer to collaborate with teams to deliver top-quality gaming experiences for players while achieving quality, schedule, and business goals. We provide shared technologies and services to game studios, including key areas such as Builds, Tools, Automation, Systems, Rendering, Audio, Gameplay, and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Engineering leads and facilitate engineering team meetings: daily standups, planning meetings, retrospectives, etc.
  2. Motivate and assist Engineering teams to execute on time and at a high quality level on top priority items.
  3. Manage dependencies and stakeholders from other parts of the game team.
  4. Plan, execute, and evaluate milestones.
  5. Proactively manage and mitigate risks.
  6. Create, update, and present status updates and information to the team and leadership.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of project management, game production, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of technical experience, such as writing code or similar.
  • In-person presence in the Vancouver BC office three days a week.
  • No specific experience in the gaming industry required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in a central team serving multiple stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity, proprietary engines) and/or infrastructure teams (e.g., Builds, Tools, Automation, Systems, Rendering) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) is advantageous.
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus.
  • Customer-obsessed with a desire to provide the best experience to content creators and players.
  • Eager to collaborate with designers, engineers, and content creators to empower problem-solving.
