Job summary

Tolko Industries in Vernon, British Columbia is seeking a Marketing Representative to join the Sales, Marketing and Logistics team. The role blends brand building, product promotion and customer communications to support Tolko’s lumber, plywood, OSB and EWP products.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in marketing, a marketing degree, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp and WordPress. You’ll design engaging materials, coordinate events, manage digital content, and work

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a marketing-related role.
• A bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience designing with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Creatively solve problems, work collaboratively, make independent decisions and seek approval when appropriate.
• Strong creative design, copywriting, research, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to design and execute product marketing and promotional plans within budget.
• MailChimp or other email marketing software is an asset.
• Experience planning and coordinating events (Tradeshow participation) is an asset.
• Experience editing and creating web pages in WordPress, or similar, is an asset.
• Familiarity with guerrilla marketing, product promotions, digital marketing and in-house projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product branding strategies that support the promotion of Tolko’s lumber, plywood, OSB, and EWP product sectors.
• Create and coordinate marketing materials including brochures, warranties, technical sheets, product samples, presentations, customer packages and tradeshow resources.
• Design and write compelling copy for product launches, promotions, customer announcements, web content, email campaigns and sales materials.
• Support product launches by developing literature, photography, web content, launch strategies and execution plans.
• Coordinate tradeshow planning including registration, booth materials, customer meeting materials, scheduling and promotional support.
• Maintain Tolko’s website and product photo library by creating, editing, organizing and refreshing content so it remains accurate, current and professional.
• Plan and execute customer retention and onboarding promotions including email promotions, customer packages and communications for new or inactive customers.
• Partner with sales teams, business units, corporate communications and external agencies to create marketing materials that support sales goals and strengthen Tolko’s market presence.
• Prepare reports and presentations for the executive level audience and contribute creative ideas that support business priorities.
