Job summary

ContainerWorld in Richmond, BC is seeking a Warehouse Administrator – System Support to work independently with guidance, performing data analysis, audits, cycle counts and WMS support.

ContainerWorld located in Richmond, British Columbia is a premier logistics provider for the beverage industry; privately owned company with approximately 400 employees throughout its facilities. We are a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution company. We are highly automated which includes Warehouse Management System (which includes voice picking, interleaved put-away/replenishment and license plated inventory with RF scanning), ERP, CRM, and other applications to support our operations and prime us for our expansion into other provinces. Position: Warehouse Administrator – System Support

Type: Regular Full Time

Position Overview:

Working independently with some guidance from others as required, this position is responsible for data analysis providing recommendations regarding warehouse mapping and process improvement. This position performs targeted audits, cycle counting, reconciliations and analyzing items to determine pick face placement and maintenance, as well as identify item risk and process issues. This position also supports WMS with some configuration/setup, systems updates/synchronization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs cycle count or targeted count audits with the purpose of

• Report accuracy levels.
• Identify potential causes for inaccuracies and report to appropriate area.
• Fix inaccuracies where possible.
• Analyze data collected, establish root causes and apply improvement processes

Pick face management

• Assigns appropriate slot location assignment based on item velocity and pack size codes
• Walk the line – identifying pick face issues, assigning team members action items

WMS Support

• Investigate and resolve system related issues. Some configuration/setup and system configuration.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong computer background especially in an operational environment
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics or warehouse operations will be an asset
• Preference will also be given to individual who has previous WMS software experience
