Job summary

ABC Consolidators is seeking a Warehouse Management System & Integration Specialist to drive the onboarding of new clients and optimize warehouse operations. The role requires deep knowledge of warehouse management systems and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will partner with IT, Operations, Sales and client teams to implement integrations, improve processes, and deliver value at scale across the client base.

Job description

The primary role of the Warehouse Management System & Integration Specialist is to be responsible for a key component of the overall company offering and critical to the success of the company and long-term growth to achieve the new vision. ABC Consolidators has differentiated itself by providing a comprehensive offer of services to meet the complete needs of their customers. ABC is an integral part of completing the offering package. Warehousing is an important services of the ABC client base but also have the potential to add revenue and profit to the company.

Candidate Requirement

• Must be Canadian Citizen or PR holder.
• Must have 5-7 years warehouse management experience.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the warehouse management systems including all partnered software's and provide a strong support of the operation, inventory control, order management and new client onboarding.
• Support Operations team with module training and new feature updates.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gain an understanding of their needs and internal processes. Based on feedback – Assist client and ABC stakeholders with project plans for system onboarding.
• Find resourceful solutions to obstacles that arise during implementation and ensure new processes are acceptable to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multiple internal and external teams including but not limited to, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, IT, Finance and Customer's IT teams; to ensure a smooth internal implementation process.
• Build strong relationships with individuals at all levels of client organization and ensure client has a positive, value-added experience in every interaction.
• Work closely and lead ABC IT, Systems/ERP providers/integrators to integrate client business as expected, on time and on budget.
• Troubleshoot and improve technological procedures and performance processes to help advance efficiency while creating operational solutions to various departments.
• Capture key learning during the onboarding process and make sure lessons are applied to future clients to improving ABC processes.
• Ready ABC team and the client for seamless transition of relationships to Operations and Customer Service which includes employee system training.
• Fosters a team approach and ensures that there is enthusiastic cooperation amongst ABC stakeholders.
• Fosters and supports a continuous learning culture at ABC.
• Supports Sales on customer calls to develop new business.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/annual business related reports, such as revenue and sales reports to help the organization understand job expectations, and fully function at the expected performance standards and deliver the results expected.
• Supports the values of ABC as measured by reduced turnover, higher productivity, increased morale and day-to-day responsiveness.
• The continued nurturing of ABC as a quality, customer-centric and timely service provider that delivers on its value proposition.
• Manages specific customer project for clients.
• Other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Education and Industry Knowledge

• Superior knowledge of the warehousing/3PL and transportation industries.
• 5-7 years warehouse management experience and knowledge of Warehouse Management systems.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with computers, ability to work in most Windows applications, especially Microsoft Office, SQL Database with the ability to read and understand XML and X12 formats.
• Understanding all types of industry standard integration models such as EDI, API FTP transfer protocol.
• Technical knowledge of the industry trends as they might create opportunities and challenges.
• Proficient in ERP/WMS/TMS software (i.e. RF Pathways WM1, Techship, Worldship, Easypost, CargoWise) will be necessary.
• Professional designation in related field is preferred.
