Earthscape Ontario is hiring a Winter Sidewalk Crew Member for snow and ice management on residential and commercial properties in Elmira, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, and surrounding areas. The role requires 24/7 on-call availability with variable shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25.00-$35.00, with standby pay and potential future seasonal or full-time opportunities.

Job Overview

Earthscape is hiring a seasonal Winter Sidewalk Crew Member for snow and ice management on residential and commercial properties in Elmira, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, and surrounding areas. Members report to the Wallenstein shop or a designated location before events.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear snow and ice using shovels, commercial snow blowers, and stand-on Snowrator machines.
• Apply de-icing materials and work efficiently to meet event timelines.
• Inspect equipment, report maintenance issues, and maintain clean, organized work areas and vehicles.
• Follow all company safety procedures around traffic, pedestrians, and winter hazards.

Availability & Working Conditions

• Requires 24/7 on-call availability throughout the winter season, with short-notice response times.
• Shifts are weather-dependent and vary widely, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Demands physical endurance for outdoor work in extreme cold, walking on icy surfaces, continuous shoveling, equipment operation, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
