Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. in Alberta is hiring winter seasonal road maintenance workers to keep highways safe from October 1 to April 30, with potential for year-round work.

If you hold a Class 1, 2 or 3 license and want a community-focused employer that values safety, training and career growth, we want to hear from you. You will operate snowplow trucks and heavy equipment, perform routine highway maintenance, and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
• Physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver's license with air endorsement is required.
• Clear 3-year driving abstract.
• Experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways and assist Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation).
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
