Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. (LHL) is seeking motivated individuals to perform winter and seasonal highway maintenance across Ontario. Operators will use snowplow trucks and other heavy equipment, maintaining highways year-round and working outdoors in all weather.

Preference given to local applicants in Thessalon, Ontario. Wages range from $25.50 to $33.50 per hour with premiums for AZ operation, snow plow tasks, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement
• Provide a copy of a 3-year commercial driver’s abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
• Work outside in all weather conditions
