Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is hiring for winter seasonal road maintenance across Alberta from October 1 to April 30, with potential for year-round employment. You will operate snowplow trucks and other heavy equipment while helping keep highways safe in your local community.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 1/2/3 license with air endorsement, are able to lift up to 50 lbs, and are prepared for night shifts and on-call work. Benefits, training, RSPs, and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing completed.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Experience operating snowplow trucks and/or wheel loaders is a strong asset; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways and assist with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridges and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
