FMPSD invites applications for a temporary 1.0 FTE Teacher position at Walter and Gladys Hill School in Fort McMurray, Alberta, with start date September 23, 2026 and a close date open until filled. Qualifications

  • Have a strong knowledge of the Alberta Elementary curriculum.
  • Have an ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans.
  • Have demonstrated ability creating a classroom characterized by inclusion, equity and differentiated instruction.
  • Has demonstrated an ability to support and meet the needs of FNMI and ELL students in the classroom.
  • Previous experience in establishing strong positive connection with students outside the classroom (ie. clubs and teams)
  • Possess superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic..
  • Be flexible and willing to adapt. - Be open to new programs and initiatives.
  • Be willing to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
  • Recognize the importance of promoting the school with parents and in the community.
