Hansen Industries Ltd, a precision sheet metal/machine/stamping shop located in Richmond, BC, is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for the Day shift. You will set up, operate and inspect welds in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and read blueprints to ensure accuracy.

The role requires GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding skills, the ability to weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled in GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding.

Responsibilities

Job description

Hansen Industries is looking to hire an experienced Welder/Fabricator to work in our Sheet Metal Shop for our Day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, operate and clean welding equipment, when needed.


• Follow job router drawings and other written or verbal instructions.


• Inspect completed welds.


• Repair faulty products using welding procedures.


• Competence in operating GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding.


• Ability to weld various thicknesses of material.


• Help in other areas.


• Maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications & requirements:

• Working experience in the Manufacturing environment.


• Minimum C level - ticket.


• Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings and blueprints.


• Able to weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum with GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG.


• Creative and willing to learn.

Shift Availability:

• 7:30am to 4:00pm.


• Monday to Friday.


• Saturday and overtime available.
