Job summary

Kibbi in Canada (Alberta) seeks a skilled welder for permanent employment. The role involves interpreting welding specifications, operating manual and automated welders, reading blueprints, inspecting welds, and shaping metal using cutting and forming processes.

Work setting is manufacturing with comprehensive safety training and WHMIS certification. Applicants should have a trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience, and be able to work 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Welding experience preferred and ability to read weld specs.
  • WHMIS certification required or as trained on site.
  • Experience with fabrication and metal finishing is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance.
  • Operate manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment.
  • Read welding blueprints and process manuals for accuracy.
  • Inspect welds to meet standards and specifications.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment and metal forming machinery.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts as required.
  • Maintain welding equipment and perform minor repairs.
