Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder for an afternoon shift in Burlington, ON. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, read blueprints, and fabricate components for tanks and trailers.

Welder - Afternoon shift 330pm-1130pm

Location: Burlington, Ontario
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Compensation: Up to $37.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift Premium: Additional $1.50 per hour for evening shifts
Schedule: 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a growing industrial service and fabrication team in Burlington. This hands-on position involves welding, repairing, modifying, and fabricating components for new and used tanks and trailers.

The ideal candidate is confident working from blueprints, can complete projects from fit-up through final welding, and has experience with MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly specifications
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Prepare, fit, and assemble components before welding
• Complete simple to complex assemblies according to required specifications
• Perform welding in multiple positions
• Repair, modify, and fabricate tank and trailer components
• Operate plasma-cutting, arc-gouging, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment
• Perform thermal cutting and shaping of metal components
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements
• Follow established workplace safety procedures

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional welding experience
• Hands-on experience with GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG welding
• Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel
• Experience with plasma cutting, arc gouging, and oxy-acetylene cutting
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong fitting, assembly, repair, and fabrication skills
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Welding diploma or technical certification is considered an asset
• Tank and/or trailer welding experience is considered an asset

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of up to $37.00, based on experience
• Additional $1.50-per-hour evening shift premium
