Job summary

Weldexperts in New Lowell, ON is seeking a skilled welder to join our on-site fabrication shop. You will operate TIG and MIG welding equipment, perform routine maintenance, and inspect welds to ensure quality standards while supporting assembly and fabrication tasks.

The ideal candidate reads fabrication drawings, completes a welding test, and can lift up to 30 kg. Commitment to safety and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Fitting and welding aluminum using TIG/MIG processes.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Able to pass a practical welding test.
• Provide satisfactory criminal background check.
• Demonstrate reliability and strong work ethic.
• Provide own welding PPE and basic hand tools.
• Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to priorities.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 kg safely.
• Committed to safety, quality workmanship and improvement.
• Comfortable working around vehicle interiors and under vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain TIG and MIG welding equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect welds for quality and perform repairs or rework as needed.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and production tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment per policies.
• Work on-site in our shop for all fabrication and assembly.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience fitting and welding aluminum components using TIG and MIG process
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to successfully complete a practical welding test.
• Provide a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Provide your own welding PPE and basic hand tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing production priorities.
• Ability to safely lift materials weighing up to 30 kg.
• Committed to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working in and around vehicle interiors, compartments, and beneath vehicles using hand and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain TIG and MIG welding equipment, performing routine preventative maintenance as required.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and perform repairs or rework as required.
• Assist with additional fabrication, assembly, and production tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• This is an on-site manufacturing position; all fabrication and assembly work is completed in our shop.
