Job summary

WORKFORCE - Staffing Solutions is seeking a CWB certified Welder for a full-time, on-site role in Brampton, Ontario. You will work in a busy shop Monday to Friday, performing GMAW and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel, reading drawings, and following procedures. Growth potential exists for ambitious team players.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in welding, current CWB certificate, and strong safety mindset. Benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in GMAW and TIG welding.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel welding.
• Current CWB certificate
• 456A welding certification an asset
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings
• On-site machine shop experience; physically capable and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in carbon steel and stainless steel per procedures.
• Follow welding procedures and conduct weld inspections.
• Read and interpret production drawings to ensure correct fabrication.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team and communicate effectively.

Job description

We are looking for a CWB certified Welder to join a growing team in the Brampton, Ontario area.

This will be a full time, on-site role in the busy shop working Monday to Friday day shift. Compensation ranges up to $45 per hour based on experience and will include a benefits package after the probationary period.

An ideal candidate will bring experience working as a welder (GMAW,TIG Welding) with experience in carbon steel and stainless steel welding. You will follow welding procedures, conduct weld inspections and know how to read and interpret production drawings accordingly. You will be organized and keep a clean and tidy work area as well as be very safety minded.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in GMAW, TIG welding
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel welding and fabrication
• Current CWB certificate
• 456A welding certification an asset
• Must be able to read and interpret production drawings
• Experience working onsite in a machine shop environment
• Physically capable to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Punctuality and promptness
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
