Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking a Welder to join a collaborative, team-focused organization in Canada. You will perform welding, ironwork, and related mechanical tasks, reading drawings and laying out work to specs. The role involves safe operation of forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, and power tools.

• CWB SMAW certification is required.
• Experience welding or enrollment in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.

As a Welder, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications Needed

• CWB certification in SMAW is required.
• Appropriate level of experience in welding or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.
