Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is a fully integrated design, engineering, construction, and maintenance services firm seeking Welders to join our collaborative team. You will support the department and Superintendent with welding, ironwork, and related tasks.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, using welding and cutting equipment, and safely operating forklifts, skid steer loaders, scissor lifts, and power tools as needed.

Qualifications

• CWB certification in SMAW is required.
• Experience in welding or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.

As a Welder, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview:

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications .

Qualifications Needed:

• CWB certification in SMAW is required.
• Appropriate level of experience in welding or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.
