Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is actively seeking Welders to join our team in Regina. You will perform welding, ironwork, and mechanical tasks, leveraging various welding and cutting equipment to exacting specifications.

Responsibilities include reading construction drawings, safely operating forklifts and other heavy tools, and aligning work with drawings and standards. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• CWB SMAW certification is required.
• Experience in welding or enrollment in an Apprenticeship Program is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.

As a Welder, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview:

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications .

Qualifications Needed:

• CWB certification in SMAW is required.
• Appropriate level of experience in welding or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.
