Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking Millwrights to join our collaborative team in Manitoba. You will perform welding, ironwork or mechanical tasks and read drawings to lay out work to spec. You’ll use millwright tools and operate forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, and power tools safely.

A valid license and reliable vehicle are required; expect a 14/7 rotation with time away from home. We offer RRSPs, benefits and professional training as part of a supportive workplace that values teamwork,

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial mechanics or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Able to work a 14/7 rotation with time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Use millwright precision tools accurately and effectively.

As a Millwright, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of millwright precision tools.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of experience in industrial mechanics or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.
