Job summary

FWS Group of Companies in Edmonton seeks a skilled Millwright to join our industrial team. You will perform welding, ironwork, and mechanical tasks, read drawings, and safely operate power tools and equipment on site.

This role requires an Apprenticeship or industrial mechanics experience, a valid driver's license, and a 14/7 rotation with time away from home. Pre-access drug and alcohol testing may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial mechanics or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Welding, ironwork, or mechanical tasks as required.
• Accurately uses millwright precision tools.
• Safe operation of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Read and understand construction drawings; lay out work to drawings and specs.

As a Millwright, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of millwright precision tools.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications .

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of experience in industrial mechanics or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.
