Job summary

Lee Valley Tools Ltd. is seeking a Web Administrator – Store Merchant in Ottawa to manage the Amazon storefront, ensuring accurate product listings, current content, and effective promotions to drive engagement and sales.

The role collaborates with Web Marketing, Product, and cross-functional teams to optimize content, monitor performance, and improve discoverability and conversion. 1–2 years in ecommerce or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, website administration, retail, or related field.
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, Digital Media or related discipline is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and content management systems.
  • Strong written communication skills with an eye for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with interest in improving online customer experiences.
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central is an asset but not required.
  • Experience with digital merchandising, SEO, or product information management systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize product listings with accurate titles, descriptions, images, and attributes to maximize visibility and conversion.
  • Execute merchandising updates across the Amazon storefront, including collections and promotions.
  • Ensure product information, pricing, inventory, and content are current.
  • Monitor storefront performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion and discoverability.
  • Perform QA to resolve content issues and merchandising inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate launches and content updates.
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure content aligns with company guidelines.
  • Generate basic reports and insights on storefront performance and merchandising initiatives.
  • Stay informed of Amazon platform updates and best practices.

Overview:

The Web Administrator – Store Merchant is a junior-level e-commerce professional responsible for the daily management, merchandising, and optimization of the company's Amazon storefront. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that product listings are accurate, content remains current, promotions are executed effectively, and the overall storefront experience supports customer engagement and sales growth.

Working closely with the Web Marketing, Product, and cross-functional teams, the Web Administrator will manage product content, coordinate storefront updates, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve product discoverability, merchandising effectiveness, and conversion within the Amazon marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize product listings, including titles, ensuring accurate and compelling titles, descriptions, images, A+ content, and product attributes to maximize visibility and conversion.
  • Execute merchandising updates across the Amazon storefront, including collections, categories, and promotional placements.
  • Ensure product information, pricing, inventory status, and content are accurate and current.
  • Monitor Amazon storefront performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion, discoverability, and customer experience.
  • Perform routine quality assurance to identify and resolve content issues, broken assets, or merchandising inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate product launches, content updates, and promotional activities.
  • Assist in maintaining brand standards and ensuring all content aligns with company guidelines.
  • Generate basic reports and provide insights on storefront performance and merchandising initiatives.
  • Stay informed of Amazon platform updates, merchandising best practices, and emerging e-commerce trends.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, website administration, retail, or a related field.
