Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Waterproofing Estimator/Manager to drive the tendering, pricing, and coordination of waterproofing projects from inception to completion. You will work with senior management, project teams, and suppliers to secure work and ensure accurate estimates.

The role emphasizes leadership as the division grows, with strong focus on estimating systems, material take-offs, and risk assessment. A related degree is an asset but not required for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope experience.
• Experience estimating in waterproofing or construction industries.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Strong quantity take-off, estimating, analytical, and mathematical skills.
• Experience managing multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, tender docs, and site conditions to define scope.
• Prepare accurate and competitive waterproofing estimates.
• Perform detailed take-offs and material estimates.
• Price various waterproofing systems including below-grade and foundation projects.
• Submit tender packages and quotes by deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors for smooth handover.
• Identify risks, exclusions, scope gaps, and opportunities during estimating.
• Maintain estimating databases and supplier pricing.
