We are seeking a Waterproofing Estimator / Manager to own the growing division, lead estimation activities, and coordinate projects from tender through completion. The role requires strong estimating and leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple tenders, and the drive to build relationships with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope.
• Estimating experience in waterproofing or construction.
• Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, materials, installation methods and standards.
• Experience with below-grade waterproofing, foundation waterproofing, and plaza decks.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings/specs.
• Strong quantity take-off, estimating, analytical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, tender documents, and site conditions to define waterproofing scope.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for waterproofing projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and material estimates.
• Estimate and price various waterproofing systems and interfaces.
• Obtain pricing from suppliers/subcontractors and prepare tender packages.

With decades of experience in the construction industry, we specialize in roofing, waterproofing, architectural metals, siding, and other building envelope services.

As Pollard Enterprises continues to grow and expand our waterproofing division, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Waterproofing Estimator / Manager to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator or waterproofing professional who is looking to take ownership of a growing division and play a key role in developing its future.

The Opportunity

The Waterproofing Estimator / Manager will be responsible for estimating, securing, coordinating, and helping manage waterproofing projects from the initial tender stage through to project completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, project managers, site supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients while helping grow and develop Pollard's waterproofing operations.

We are looking for someone who understands the waterproofing industry, has strong estimating and technical skills, and is capable of taking a leadership role as the department continues to grow.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review project drawings, specifications, tender documents, and site conditions to determine waterproofing scope and requirements
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for waterproofing projects
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and material estimates
• Estimate and price a variety of waterproofing systems, including:
• Below-grade waterproofing
• Foundation waterproofing
• Blindside waterproofing
• Roofing and waterproofing interfaces
• Traffic coatings and specialty waterproofing systems
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit tender packages and quotations within required deadlines
• Follow up on submitted bids and develop relationships with general contractors, consultants, and clients
• Review contracts and project documentation prior to project turnover
• Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to construction
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination
• Identify potential risks, exclusions, scope gaps, and opportunities during the estimating process
• Maintain estimating databases, supplier pricing, historical project costs, and bid tracking information
• Help develop estimating procedures, pricing standards, and operational processes for the waterproofing division
• Assist in recruiting, developing, and managing additional waterproofing personnel as the division grows
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, consultants, general contractors, and clients

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in waterproofing, roofing, building envelope.
• Previous estimating experience within the waterproofing or construction industry
• Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, materials, installation methods, and industry standards
• Experience with below-grade waterproofing, foundation waterproofing, plaza decks, and other building envelope systems
• The ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong quantity take-off, estimating, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Experience managing multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Leadership skills and an interest in helping build and grow a department
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software
• A self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset

A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field would be considered an asset but is not required for candidates with significant industry experience.
