Job summary

The Coeur Silvertip mine in British Columbia is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to join our camp-based team on a two-week in/two-week out rotation. You will operate the water treatment plant and work closely with a safety‑minded, diverse workforce.

Responsibilities include handling reagents, running lab samples, monitoring the tailings circuit, and completing daily logs. Night shifts and independent work are required, with bonus eligibility and growth opportunities within the mining operation.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ operating experience in a water treatment plant.
• Mining industry experience desired.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to work with a diverse cross‑cultural workforce.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Water Treatment Plant.
• Handle and mix reagents per SOPs and BC Mines Act.
• Work night shifts.
• Work unsupervised.
• Run samples in the water treatment plant laboratory.
• Monitor the mill tailings circuit discharge.
• Perform pre-operational checks and operate equipment per SOPs.
• Monitor equipment and report deficiencies promptly.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Complete operator reports, data entry, and daily logbook.

About The Job

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Water Treatment Plant;
• Handle and mix reagents according to Safe Operating Procedures and BC Mines Act;
• Must be willing to work night shift;
• Must be able to work unsupervised;
• Capable of running samples though the lab in the WTP;
• Monitor the mill tailings circuit discharge;
• Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures;
• Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly and quickly;
• Conduct troubleshooting activities when problems arise;
• Complete Operator Report Sheets, computerized data entry, and Daily Logbook.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Operating of a water treatment plant;
• 3 years’ operating experience in a water treatment plant;
• Mining industry experience desired;
• Valid driver's license;
• Physically fit to perform the duties of the position;
• Ability to work with a diverse cross‑cultural workforce.

Additional Information

• Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12‑hour shifts per day at a remote camp.
• Eligible for monthly bonus.
• Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
