Job summary

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable engineering and environmental consulting, seeks a Water Resources Engineering Graduate or Hydrologist for our Markham office. You will join the Water Resources Technical Team and contribute to hydrologic and hydraulic projects within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include field sampling, modeling, design drawings, and cost estimates, under supervision of a Project Manager or Team Lead. 0-2 years experience preferred; G-class license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with watershed characterization studies, flood plain mapping, environmental impact assessments, coastal and river engineering, and channel design projects.
• Assist with hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling.
• Conduct field investigations including water quality sampling, hydrometric measurements, data management and analysis.
• Assist with preparation of detailed design drawings.
• Development of work plans and cost estimates.
• Technical report preparation and writing.
• Working efficiently in a team environment.
• Perform tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques.
