Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Land Services Team in Ontario. The role can be based in Waterloo, London, or Hamilton with travel to other regional offices.

You will model and design surface water systems, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and prepare technical reports throughout project lifecycle. The ideal candidate holds a civil/environmental engineering degree, 2–4 years of related experience, and a professional license in Ontario or CET designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• P.Eng license in Ontario or CET designation or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking modeling and design tasks for surface water works for private/public projects.
• Perform calculations using SWMHYMO, PCSWMM, MIDUSS, GAWSER, HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, Visual OTTHYMO.
• Coordinate with engineers and staff to meet project needs on time.
• Prepare/review technical reports and design briefs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Guide projects from feasibility to detailed design, scheduling, Tendering, construction, certification.
• Liaise with clients and agencies to determine project requirements and approvals.
• Perform field work including monitoring surface water systems and surveys.
• Manage surface water projects to complete on time and budget.
