Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking a Gas Fitter to professionally install water heaters and tankless equipment, while providing outstanding customer service. You will educate customers, promote our products, and ensure safety and quality on every call.

Candidate must have a G2 license, Grade 12, and a valid Class G license. Rolling shifts and standby duties may be required, with comprehensive tools, training and growth opportunities offered by Reliance.

Qualifications

• Must have Gas Technician G2 license.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Class G Driver’s License.
• Diagnostic and HVAC maintenance skills for residential equipment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver water heaters with equipment.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Punctual, dependable and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Install water heaters and tankless equipment per manufacturer specs and local codes.
• Replace or repair leaking water heaters and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Educate customers and promote Reliance products and programs.
• Represent Reliance professionally on every call and be an ambassador for the company.
• Provide superior customer service and execute the Right Call process.
• Mentor and train new installers.
• Contribute to business growth through lead generation.

What will you do?

• Actively participate in the training and mentoring of new installers.
• Other duties, as assigned by management.
• Contribute to business growth by lead generation

• Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications.
• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
• Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
• Diagnostic and HVAC maintenance skills for residential equipment.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
• In addition, the ability to lift and maneuver water heaters with the assistance of material handling equipment.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/electricity).
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem -solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standards (where applicable).
• Ability to take direction and work with a minimal amount of supervision.
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required, including weekends.
