Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is hiring a Junior Installer to help repair and maintain HVAC systems, install water heaters, and support field operations. You will work with a team that values growth and customer service, while learning the trade in a hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates have a Grade 12 or equivalent, Gas Technician 3, and a valid G license; some HVAC experience is a plus. Expect rotating shifts, training, and opportunities for advancement within a large Canada-wide company.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Gas Technician 3 required, G2 preferred.
• ODP Card required.
• Valid Class G Driver’s License.
• Willing to rotate shifts and standby duties.
• HVAC knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow as part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment and accessories per manufacturer specs and local codes.
• Ensure safe operation of gas appliances and instruct customers on care and maintenance.
• Work in service, water heater installation, or field/warehouse roles as assigned.
• Build positive relationships with customers and promote other Reliance products and services.
• Communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Responsible to professionally repair and perform maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Ensure the safe operation of all Gas appliances and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
• Be flexible to work in service, water heater installation, and or assistance roles/duties, in the field or in the warehouse, in assigned areas and surrounding areas as assigned.
• Willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team and be flexible to the work assigned in the spirit of this multi-functional role.
• Responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers, offering for sale other company products and services.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate and problem-solve to ensure customer satisfaction.

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Gas Technician 3 required, G2 preferred
• Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card
• Valid Class G Driver’s License
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required
• Physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard
• Previous HVAC experience preferred - Some knowledge of the heating, cooling, and boiler trades will be an asset
