Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Warehouse & Transportation Handler for our Kenora store located at 1077 Railway St.

Responsibilities
- Deliver product to the guest’s home and assemble product when required.
- Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while keeping scheduling and providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct all activities safely and courteously with every effort to minimize damage to the product and the guest’s homes.
- Receive product, product returns, accessories, supplies, and prepare outbound shipments.
- Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
- Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.
- General store internal maintenance (i.e., light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy‑person duties, garbage, cleaning).
- Maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e., grass cutting, shoveling, cleanliness).
- Understand and follow all safe work practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery work by using delivery tablets and taking required photos.
- Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers.
- Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience.
- Valid Class G Driver’s license with clean Driver’s abstract (with air considered a plus).
- 6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience, with heavy/large product preferred.
- Experience with hand tools is an asset.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
- Able to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Safety footwear required.
- Criminal Record Check will be required.
