Job summary

Weir is hiring a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver in Lively, ON, on a full-time, onsite basis. The role follows a Day Shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) from Monday to Friday, with overtime available. You will verify shipments, handle materials, manage inventory, and prepare orders with accuracy to support safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Shipment Verification: verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments daily against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Material Handling: receive, store, and distribute materials to appropriate departments or storage areas using manual methods or forklifts/pallet jacks.
• Inventory Management: maintain organized inventory by sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or bins.
• Shipment Preparation: assemble, label, package items and complete documentation for timely dispatch.

What you'll do:

• Shipment Verification: Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments daily, ensuring accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, and orders to maintain precise records.
• Material Handling: Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, and products to appropriate departments or storage areas, using manual methods or equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• I nventory Management: Maintain organized inventory by sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or designated bins, ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
• Shipment Preparation: Prepare shipments by assembling, labeling, packaging items, and completing necessary documentation to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.

Role Dynamics

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, working onsite during day shifts (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM), with approximately 1 year of relevant experience. Daily tasks involve hands-on material handling and documentation accuracy.

Success Metrics

Success will be measured by accuracy in shipment processing, maintaining organized inventory, and adherence to safety standards.

What you'll bring

Must-haves:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Self-motivated with strong teamwork, dependability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves:

• WHMIS, Forklift, and Safety certifications (training available)
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
