Job summary

Weir is seeking a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver for the day shift in Lively, Ontario. This onsite, full‑time position focuses on accurate shipment verification, material handling, and inventory management to support daily operations.

You will verify bills of lading, prepare shipments, and maintain organized stock while working with a team in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Material handling: receive, store and distribute materials using manual methods or forklifts.
• Inventory management: maintain organized inventory on racks and designated bins.
• Shipment preparation: assemble, label, package and document shipments for dispatch.

What you'll do:

• Shipment Verification: Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments daily, ensuring accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, and orders to maintain precise records.
• Material Handling: Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, and products to appropriate departments or storage areas, using manual methods or equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inventory Management: Maintain organized inventory by sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or designated bins, ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
• Shipment Preparation: Prepare shipments by assembling, labeling, packaging items, and completing necessary documentation to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.

Role Dynamics:

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, working onsite during day shifts (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM), with approximately 1 year of relevant experience. Daily tasks involve hands-on material handling and documentation accuracy.

Success Metrics:

Success will be measured by accuracy in shipment processing, maintaining organized inventory, and adherence to safety standards.

What you'll bring - Must-haves:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English

• WHMIS, Forklift, and Safety certifications (training available)
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
