Job description

The Warehouse Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse and shipping departments. This includes managing inventory, ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping of products.
  • Manage and lead a team of warehouse associates, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to improve productivity and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate stock is maintained.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to ensure timely order fulfillment and address any shipping-related issues.
  • Evaluate and optimize shipping methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in warehouse and shipping management.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience in a related position.
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in warehouse management, shipping, or logistics.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
