About The Role
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of our distribution warehouse, through all shifts. This person will oversee safety, labour planning, efficiencies and compliance.

What You Will Be Doing
- Overseeing daily warehousing functions, monitoring work to ensure all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.
- Oversee the daily collection and input of statistical data in support of measuring KPI’s.
- Perform setup, layout and ensures the efficient utilization of storage space.
- Ensure employees follow the correct procedure for picking orders, in accordance with Maple Lodge Farms and customer specific policies and procedure, and ensure FIFO is followed at all times.
- Ensure equipment is in proper condition and take necessary action when needed to minimize down time.
- Ensure only qualified employees operate equipment and that they are operated safely at all times.
- Develop regular channels of communication with suppliers and customers to help mitigate any potential impacts.
- People management including developing supervisors, establish goals and development plans, and support HR functions for hiring, onboarding and disciplinary matters.
- Support the development of monthly and annual budgets, working with the Logistics Analyst.
What You Will Bring
- A minimum of 5 years in a Senior Supervisory role related to Distribution / Logistics.
- Experience in the food industry, ready-to-eat, JIT and unionized environments is a big asset.
- Working knowledge of knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS, and all other workplace H&S regulations.
- Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.
- Team-player with excellent leadership skills, able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-identification/solving capabilities.
- Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
- 6 Sigma Green Belt, PLog or CITT an asset.
