Job summary

BELFOR CANADA INC. is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and project logistics at our Mississauga location.

You will support crew scheduling, equipment maintenance, and ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites, while upholding safety standards. You will also assist with temporary labor, timesheet verification, and documentation, coordinating with multiple departments to optimize content handling and reporting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years in construction/restoration or related field.
  • 1+ year in a leadership role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle per company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair warehouse equipment; coordinate third‑party repairs as needed.
  • Keep warehouse spaces, equipment, and materials clean and functional.
  • Track inventory and materials using approved software; maintain accurate records.
  • Create, maintain, and close job files with site details; ensure timely billing docs.

  • Enforce safety policies, PPE usage, and conduct regular inspections; support fleet maintenance.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless warehouse operations, inventory control, and project logistics. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position manages equipment maintenance and repairs, organizes and tracks inventory, and ensures timely delivery of materials to job sites. The Coordinator also assists with crew scheduling, temporary labor arrangements, and emergency response logistics while adhering to legislative and BELFOR standards.

What You’ll Do:
  • Maintain and repair warehouse equipment, coordinating third-party repairs when needed.
  • Keep warehouse spaces, equipment, and materials clean, organized, and fully functional.
  • Oversee equipment tracking, logistics, and consumables using approved software, maintaining accurate records.
  • Create, maintain, and close job files with all relevant site details, ensuring timely billing documentation
  • Assist Project Management with crew scheduling, vehicle assignments, and job-related documentation.
  • Manage temporary labor, verify timesheets, and distribute uniforms as required.
  • Enforce safety policies, including PPE use and regular inspections, while supporting fleet maintenance and training programs.
  • Respond to emergencies within 30 minutes, coordinating crews and communicating with homeowners.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure emergency work progresses as planned, arranging re-attendance if necessary.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and job performance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to optimize content handling, storage, and return.
  • Update project and production trackers in real time to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Manage lock boxes and codes throughout the claim process, ensuring removal upon project completion.
  • Provide excellent customer service by safeguarding property, maintaining professionalism, and ensuring timely communication.
  • Ensure a safe work environment through hazard assessments, equipment checks, and compliance with company safety programs.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction, restoration, or a related industry.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR’s Auto Policy.
Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with JD Edwards, Xactimate, and Xactanalysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Workers Compensation Board compliance and industry-specific financial management tools.
  • IICRC certification(s).
Working Conditions
  • Sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling;
  • Perform tasks requiring mobility in tight or confined spaces, sustained physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling), and working at heights over 5 feet as needed;
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including full and half-mask respirators, with proper fit testing; and
  • Periodic travel to other locations or client sites may be required to support operational needs.
