Job summary

Sonepar Canada, Inc. is seeking a branch associate in Chilliwack to provide excellent service to customers who visit the branch to place orders or pick up product requirements.

You will fill orders, communicate issues to the Sales Department, update the Branch Manager on customer interests, and help customers identify products, assist with locating items, and ensure accuracy and safety in all handling processes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Up to 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Filling orders and ensuring timely completion.
  • Informing Sales of any issues with orders.
  • Continuously updating Branch Manager on customer interests and issues.
  • Entering sales orders and ensuring documents are complete at sale close.
  • Assisting customers in identifying products and suggesting alternatives.
  • Locating/picking orders after finalizing product choices.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Shipping/Receiving and inventory storage responsibilities.

Scope of the Position

Responsible for providing excellent service to customers who visit the branch to either place orders, and/or pickup their product requirements.

Major Responsibilities
  • Filling orders and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Informing customer and/or the Sales Department of any issues that might occur with filling product requested.
  • Continuously updating Branch Manager of customer interests and issues.
  • Entering sales order for product(s) selected by the customer and ensuring all materials have been entered accordingly and documentation is complete within the close of sale.
  • Assisting customers with identifying the specific product they are looking for based on their requirements and suggesting alternatives if required and/or up-selling of related product(s).
  • Physically locating/picking order once product order has been finalized.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Shipping/Receiving Department and storing product/inventory.
  • completing wire cuts to order on time and as instructed
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office required.
  • Up to 1 year of related experience.
  • Experience using inventory software preferred.
