This volunteer position will provide support for digital marketing, creative advertising, website management and standardization of practices. The position will liase with the existing communications team and report to the Board of Directors.Description

- Assist with the development of marketing plans for fundraising initiativesd
- Supports ‘special events’ such as celebrations, customer appreciation, donor appreciation and volunteer recognition.
- Computer skills to include learning and using Word, Excel, Publisher, and Canva
- Assist with the development of an annual marketing strategy
- Other duties as assigned
- Supports the maintenance of a positive, caring and inviting environment for volunteers, customers and donors
- Supports a culture of safety for volunteers and customers and takes immediate action to mitigate or resolve issues that put a volunteer, customer, donor or the organization at risk
Compliance with Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary By laws, procedures and policies
Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Some website management experience an asset (Squarespce)
- Familiar with distribution systems like MailChimp
- Creative digital marketing skills
- Demonstrated Multitasking skills
- Demonstrated experience with CANVA and Photoshop
- Demonstrated experience with communications in a similar organization
- Marketing experience in a non profit is an asset
- Ability to work with a large number of diverse volunteers, donors and customers
- Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with volunteers, customers
and community
