Job summary

Insight Advantage is seeking a case coordinator to assist clients in obtaining employment and advancing career goals. You will assess needs, provide counselling, and coordinate referrals to external services in a client-centered approach.

Role involves interviewing clients, developing plans, and delivering programs to improve job readiness, while coordinating with community partners. Travel may be required to various locations within Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in social services or related field is implied by the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assess need for assistance, such as rehabilitation, financial aid or further training.
  • Evaluate counselling effectiveness and the client’s outcomes.
  • Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background and career goals.
  • Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems.
  • Refer clients to the appropriate external services.
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with job readiness skills, job search strategies, writing résumés and preparing for job interviews.
  • Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them.
  • Administer and interpret tests designed to determine the interests, aptitudes and abilities of clients.
  • Collect labour market information for clients regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements and other occupational information.
  • Provide established workers with information and strategies for dealing with job dissatisfaction, mid-career changes and workplace transitions.
  • Provide established workers with information and strategies for maintaining a job or moving within an organization.
  • Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up and court reports.
  • Liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals
