Job summary

Qualicare Burlington is seeking committed visiting nurses to join our Hamilton-area Community Visiting Nursing Program on a part-time basis. This role offers autonomy, flexible shifts, and the chance to provide vital in-home care to clients within the community.

Applicants must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing, possess current BCLS, and have a valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle.

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing.
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Charting on Procura is an asset.

Core Competencies:

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing
• Experienced in Home and Community Care is an asset
• Current BCLS certification (Level C)
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Charting on Procura is an asset

Requirements:

• Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months)
• Valid Driver’s License & reliable car in community homecare is required
• Up to date TB test within last 2 years
• Must have your own:
  a)Stethoscope
  b) Blood pressure cuff and Sphygmomanometer

Shifts:

Day Visits Saturday/Sunday Monday and Tuesday 8-4pm

Note:

This is a specialty program for Peritoneal Dialysis (optional), Wound Care, IV Management, Diabetic Care & Post Operative Care in the community.
