Job summary

Qualicare Burlington seeks committed nurses (RPNs & RNs) to join a diverse team serving the Hamilton area. This role offers autonomy and work-life balance, with opportunities for mentorship and ongoing learning.

Shifts include 3 days during the week and alternate weekends. Candidates should be in good standing with the CNO, have driver’s license and reliable transportation, and be prepared for community homecare assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing.
• Experience in home and community care is an asset.
• Current valid BCLS certification (if applicable) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide home and community nursing care to clients in the Hamilton area.
• Perform patient/family teaching and clinical assessments.
• Maintain accurate charting and communication with the care team.

Core Competencies:

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing
• Experienced in Home and Community Care is an asset
• Current BCLS certification (Level C)
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Charting on Procura is an asset

Shifts:

3 days during the week and alternate weekends

Requirements:

• Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months)
• Valid Driver’s License & reliable car in community homecare is required
• Up to date TB test within last 2 years
• Must have your own:
  a)Stethoscope
  b) Blood pressure cuff and Sphygmomanometer

Note:

This is a specialty program for Peritoneal Dialysis, Wound Care, IV Management, Diabetic Care & Post Operative Care in the community.
