Job summary

Qualicare Hamilton is seeking committed visiting nurses (RPNs/RNs) to join our team in the Hamilton area. This part-time role offers autonomy and work-life balance, with flexible shifts such as 9-3, 4-9, and 7-12 p.m. to support community home visits.

We provide paid training and professional development at McMaster University, plus mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities. A 24/7 support system is available to staff, with pathways for career advancement within the organization.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing
• Experience in Home and Community Care is an asset
• Current BCLS certification (Level C)
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Charting on Procura is an asset

Core Competencies

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing

Requirements

• Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months)
• Valid Driver’s License & reliable car in community homecare is required
• Up to date TB test within last 2 years
• Must have your own:
• Stethoscope
• Blood pressure cuff and Sphygmomanometer

Shifts: Evening visits Monday-Friday and alternate weekends

Note: This is a specialty program for Peritoneal Dialysis (optional), Wound Care, IV Management, Diabetic Care & Post Operative Care in the community.
