Job summary

Qualicare Hamilton is seeking compassionate, reliable Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) for casual/part-time home care in Hamilton and surrounding areas. You will provide direct client care in the home, following individualized care plans and collaborating with families and the healthcare team to ensure quality, compassionate service.

You’ll monitor health conditions, administer treatments within your scope, maintain documentation, and participate in ongoing education programs to support

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence in good standing with the CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario).
• Valid CPR certification.
• Strong clinical skills and sound judgment.
• Negative TB test or clear chest x-ray.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in home care or community health is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and professional nursing care in the client’s home.
• Follow established care plans and update documentation accurately and promptly.
• Perform clinical assessments and monitor client conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per scope of practice.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and adhere to Universal Precautions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Document observations, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner.
