Veterinary Technician, RVT

Location: Belleville, ON

Part-time position

Foster Park Animal Hospital is welcoming a part-time dedicated registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our amazing network of skilled veterinary professionals. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training!

Join a team that provides compassionate care to pets and support to their families in a community clinic setting.

Qualifications
  • Completed a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program.
  • Technical skills or knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
  • Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.
  • Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their pet parents.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving ability and the ability to ask clarifying questions to find solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues and pet parents.
  • Desire to learn more within the role and a love for all companion animals.
  • Preparation to write the VTNE; support is available.
