Job summary

The Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the friendly first point of contact for clients in a busy, feline-exclusive practice. You’ll manage check-ins, scheduling, payments, and records while delivering outstanding client service and building relationships with clients and their cats.

You’ll thrive in a supportive team, enjoy growth opportunities, and contribute to a calm, cat-friendly experience from the moment clients walk in.

Qualifications

Experience in a veterinary clinic or Veterinary Receptionist role preferred.
Passion for cats and high-quality veterinary care.
Friendly, professional communication skills.
Positive attitude and upbeat personality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and stay efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability for weekday shifts and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person.
Schedule appointments, check clients in and out, and process payments.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient and client records.
Resolve client questions and concerns in line with hospital policies.
Relay client needs to veterinarians and support staff.
Accurately dispense medications as directed by veterinarians.
Help technicians and veterinarians with patient restraint when needed.
Keep the front desk organized and the hospital workflow running efficiently.
Create a welcoming, calm experience for every client and feline patient.

Status: Full-time

Salary: $19 –$22 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: 3-4 day work weeks with rotating Saturdays

What You’ll Do
