Job summary

The Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic is a feline-exclusive veterinary practice located in downtown Toronto. We are seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and to keep the front desk running smoothly in a busy clinic.

You will thrive in a cat-centered environment, providing warm greetings, accurate check-ins, and professional communication while supporting veterinarians and the team to ensure exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary clinic or receptionist experience preferred.
• Passion for animals, especially cats, and high-quality veterinary care.
• Friendly, professional, and compassionate communication.
• Positive attitude and upbeat personality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person.
• Schedule appointments, check clients in and out, and process payments.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient and client records.
• Resolve client questions and concerns in line with hospital policies.
• Relay client needs and concerns to veterinarians and support staff.
• Accurately dispense medications as directed by veterinarians.
• Help technicians and veterinarians with patient restraint when needed.
• Keep the front desk organized and the hospital workflow running efficiently.
• Create a welcoming, calm experience for every client and feline patient.

Position Details

Role: Veterinary Receptionist

Status: Full-time

Salary: $19 –$22 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: 3-4 day work weeks with rotating Saturdays

What You’ll Do
