Job summary

Eglinton Veterinary Facilities Limited in Toronto is seeking a Client Care / Patient Care Team Member to join our busy veterinary hospital. This hybrid role splits time between supporting our reception team and assisting with patient care throughout the hospital.

Veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and eager to learn. Compensation is CAD 20.00–24.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Veterinary, medical, animal care, or customer service experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for animals and their owners.
• Experience with Avimark is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Answering multi-line phone systems.
• Scheduling appointments and managing daily bookings.
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records.
• Assisting with client communications, reminders, and follow-up calls.
• Using Avimark veterinary practice software.
• Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient handling and restraint.
• Supporting hospitalized patient care and monitoring.
• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
• Maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization.
• Assisting with laboratory samples and diagnostic procedures.
• Ensuring patients receive compassionate and stress-free care.

Client Care Duties
