Job summary

NVA Canada is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our Aurora clinic. You will be the welcoming face of the team while providing clinical and administrative support to veterinarians and technicians.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, managing bookings, handling client communications, and maintaining accurate patient records and billing. Previous customer service and animal handling experience are valued. We foster an inclusive, supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of a Veterinary Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program is a strong asset.
• Experience in front-desk, customer service, or animal handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient restraint during examinations, blood draws, and X-rays.
• Greet clients and manage reception tasks, calls, and clinic emails.
• Book appointments and coordinate follow-ups, including vaccination reminders.
• Update patient records and handle billing/invoices.
