Qualifications

• Experience in a front desk or reception capacity (human or animal clinic)
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to create a welcoming environment
• Strong organizational skills related to filing, invoicing, processing payments and scheduling

Responsibilities

• Professionally greet patients and owners to create a warm, welcoming environment
• Assist veterinary staff with tasks when required
• Answer a multi-line phone system and book appointments
• Place outbound calls for follow-up and future bookings
• Respond to emails from clients, referring vets, and internal messages
• Admit and discharge pet patients
• Invoice, create estimates and explain fees, obtain owner confirmation and process payments
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain reception area cleanliness and animal holding areas
