Job summary

AutoCanada, Winnipeg, MB, seeks an experienced Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to analyze target vehicles for purchase and execute purchases based on research.

You will work with the Territory Manager on day-to-day strategy, assess damage costs, and monitor market trends in Canada and the USA to make timely, financially sound decisions.

A valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of sales or used vehicle wholesale experience are assets. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have strong client service orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and financial acumen.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy.
• Possession of, or in process of obtaining, a government issued Salespersons permit.
• 1–3 years of sales or used vehicle wholesale experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Locate and analyze vehicle purchase opportunities through appraisals, offsite auctions, or online venues.
• Appraise a targeted number of vehicles daily and execute decisions based on analysis.
• Independently assess vehicle damage and related costs to decide purchases.
• Monitor market trends in Canada and the USA to inform buying decisions.
• Make detailed financial decisions within tight timeframes.
• Maintain purchasing and gross profit objectives as directed by the Territory Manager.
• Provide marketplace feedback and day-to-day activity input to the Territory Manager.
• Other duties as required.
