Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a on-site Delivery Driver to load/unload food and equipment, and support hotel operations with timely, safe deliveries.

This role requires a valid Alberta Class 5 license, physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, and the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Benefits include subsidized staff housing and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) and must obtain a current driver's abstract free of any serious demerit points
• Self-motivated with the ability to make effective decisions
• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
• Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including bending, heavy lifting and carrying heavy items
• Able to push/pull extremely heavy carts in and out of the truck
• Able to lift equipment up to 50lbs often during the workday

Responsibilities

• Drive, load and unload food, banquet equipment, glassware, china and chemicals between all loading docks of the hotel in a secure and timely manner
• Assist all departments with special deliveries on site or outside of the hotel
• Ensuring daily inspection of the vehicle is filled out and report any damages
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery truck and loading docks
• Participate in the removal of garbage & recycling according to the rules set in place by the hotel and Parks Canada
• Participating in departmental meetings
• Ensuring inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfaction
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
• Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned

Hourly Wage: $23.59

What you will be doing:
