Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise invites applications for a warehouse/inventory leadership role within Banff National Park. You will ensure standards, safety, and effective inventory management, while coordinating with Purchasing and the Executive Chef to maintain stock levels and timely orders.

You will train staff, supervise operations, and manage storage for food and liquor items. The role includes benefits like subsidized on-site housing and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education completed.
• WHMIS and food handling courses required.
• Training-related qualifications (Interaction Management, Train the Trainer) are a definite asset.
• Good physical condition and leadership/supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core standards and safe working environment as per health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, weights, cost, quantity and quality of items received and issued.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Executive Chef for daily orders and Birchstreet usage.
• Train and develop staff, ensuring skills and knowledge for duties.
• Oversee storage and security of food and liquor stores.
• Facilitate month-end inventories for Storeroom and outlets.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Ensure Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Core standards are maintained;
• Ensure clean and safe working environment in accordance to the health and safety regulations
• Ensure proper rotation and other inventory management techniques are utilized.
• Ensure accurate tracking of all items received and issued
• Ensure proper communication with the Food and Beverage Department with regards to inventory levels and management.
• Maintain staff motivation and develop strong channels of communication, through department meetings, one-on-ones and on the job trainings.
• To train, develop and work side-by-side with our employees, ensuring they have necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties;
• Receiving products, checking weights, cost, quantity and quality.
• Prepare daily food and beverage orders and order all products through Birchstreet.
• Maintain direct contact with purchasing office in co‑ordination with Executive Chef.
• Responsible for storage & security for food and liquor stores items.
• Coordinate & facilitate month end inventories for the Storeroom and various outlets.
• To adhere to all environmental policies and procedures as required.
• Manage inventory variances through Birchstreet inventory control/purchasing system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skillset includes:

• Completed High School
• WHMIS, Food handling course a must.
• Completion of Interaction Management and Train the Trainer a definite asset
• Good physical condition.
• Excellent leadership/supervisory skills.
• Computer experience with MS applications
• Previous warehouse management skills an asset.
• Knowledge of Hotel and departments an asset.
• Must be a team player.
