Job summary

GS1 Canada is seeking a UX Writer to define copy for our digital product ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you will own content outcomes across onboarding, workflows, and error states, from problem definition through delivery and measurement.

You will collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, Business Analysis, and translation teams to ensure terminology is consistent, accessible, and aligned with our UX standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA and AODA.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 4 years writing content for digital products in agile, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the words on screen: page titles, navigation, buttons, form labels, helper text, and system messages.
  • Write for every state a screen can be in — empty, loading, partial, error, and more.
  • Turn complex workflows into clear, actionable language for users.
  • Apply content readiness checks before stories enter a sprint and during staging.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and translation teams to ensure consistent terminology and tone.
